Our Story

The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is a reputable evangelical organisation founded in 1887 in the U.S.A. by Dr A.B. Simpson (1844-1919), with the goal of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have not yet heard about Him. This movement has since expanded world-wide and is currently operating in more than 72 countries with over 5,000 indigenous ministers and more than 1,200 full-time missionaries. The Chinese Alliance Churches Union (UK) (CACU) is the UK branch of the C&MA. It was established in 1997 to actively promote Chinese missions in the UK.

South London Alliance Church is a member of the CACU and also linked to the C&MA world-wide. We uphold the vision established by Dr Simpson, which emphasizes the intrinsic link between spiritual growth and the fulfillment of the Great Commission: He believed that as one’s spiritual life deepens, they become more aligned with God’s heart for the salvation of all nations. Conversely, the act of bringing the Gospel to all peoples is the ultimate expression of a maturing spiritual life. Therefore, our mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ as Saviour, focusing on nurturing the spiritual growth and inner renewal of believers to actively carry out the Gospel mission.
